Futurebuild Australia 2026: Inside the Krause Bricks Stand, Built with Nexbrick™
A recap of Modular Masonry Group at Futurebuild Australia 2026, the collaborative Krause Bricks exhibition stand, and the partners who helped bring it to life.

What an incredible few days at Futurebuild Australia 2026. Held from 11 to 13 June at ICC Sydney, the show brought together people from across the construction, design and manufacturing industries to share ideas, explore new innovations, and have important conversations about where our industry is heading.
For Modular Masonry Group, it was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new people, and see Nexbrick™ so warmly received by the industry.
A show about where the industry is heading
Futurebuild is less a trade show and more a snapshot of the direction of the built environment. Across the three days there were so many valuable discussions, exciting ideas, and people genuinely helping move the construction and masonry industries forward. For a business built around changing how brick gets onto buildings, that is exactly the room we want to be in.
Nexbrick™, warmly received

Nexbrick™ is a mechanically fixed brick facade system that uses 25mm real brick slips on a steel rail, delivering genuine brick at roughly a third of the weight of traditional masonry. Seeing architects, builders and suppliers run their hands across the panels and immediately understand the system was a real highlight. You can explore the full Nexbrick™ system here.
The Krause Bricks stand: a true collaboration

The standout of the week was the Krause Bricks exhibition stand, brought to life through an enormous combined effort between Krause Bricks, Modular Masonry Group and CMG Frames.
Thank you to CMG Frames
A huge thank you to CMG Frames, who carried out all of the framing for the Krause Bricks stand. The precision, expertise and hard work behind that framing made the whole display possible, and the finished stand, including the circular brick arch and the Nexbrick™ feature walls, was a true demonstration of what can be achieved when great businesses work together.
Thank you to Melbourne Steel
We also want to give a special thank you to Melbourne Steel, specialists in light-gauge and structural steel design and manufacturing, for supplying the framing used across our other exhibition displays. Their adaptable prefabricated steel solutions helped make the different display concepts possible, and it is a good example of how prefabricated steel and prefabricated brick work hand in hand.
Bricks For The Future

Sustainability was a central theme of the displays, and of Futurebuild itself. The brick slips on show are carbon neutral, made with recycled content, and produced as 25mm slips with no saw cutting, which means less material, less waste, and a lighter facade. It is a practical illustration of how genuine brick can stay part of low-carbon construction.
Great to reconnect with the industry

It was also wonderful to spend time with the teams at Island Block & Paving, MD Brick and Jaco Bricks, and to catch up with renowned landscaper Jason Hodges. The strength of the masonry industry is in its people, and Futurebuild is one of the best places to be reminded of that.
A closer look is coming
This is only a glimpse of the week. We will be sharing a closer look at the Krause stand, the panels, the details, and the work that went into bringing it all together very soon.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, had a conversation, or supported the displays. We are excited about what comes next.
